it’s official!

February 25, 2006 marks the date of our “official” Teen Advisory Board Trip to Belleville.

So far, the attendees are: Randy, Jon, Jason, Darryl, Zac, and Nathan. (did I miss anyone?)

Todays TAB meeting left us with a question. What type of books do you want to read? Come down to the teen room and vote for one of your favourite genres. The next TAB meting is the 28th of January new members always welcome.

Next Tab meeting is the 17th of December. The weekend before Christmas so it will be the last weekend here at the library before it closes for that weekend.

Tomorrow is the tab meeting so all you members show up and new members are always welcome.

This month in the T.A.B we discussed our latest reads, fundraising ideas, went to the book store to pick out some new magazines, got the grant update, talked about T.A.B self evaluation, the new forum and helped set up for the Pumpkin Personality program.

The magazines we picked out were the latest playstation magazine, the mag, mad and Teen mag. Some of the articles are fashion finds (teen), soul caliber 3 first review (playsation), scary books ( the mag) and King Kong (MAD).

We also have a few upcoming programs such as a Halo2 tournament on the 18th of Novemberfrom 5-8 ages 15-22 but 14 with permission slip. We also have a RuneScape pk (player killing) night Tuesday, November 1st.

If you are interested in discussing the possibilities presented by a recent grant opportunity (that means: they might give us money!) please come out to the Teen Advisory Board meeting on Thursday, October 6 after school (whenever you can arrive after school). This is an exciting opportunity!
